About Me

Hi there.

My passion is listening to others and helping them find a way to better their lives.

I earned my bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in interpersonal communication from the University of Houston. I then went on to earn a master’s degree in clinical psychology from the University of Houston - Clear Lake. I have been fortunate to work as a therapist in a range of settings, including private practices and adult and juvenile criminal justice centers. These experiences have given me the opportunity to work with a diverse group of clients, each presenting with a unique history and set of challenges. As a result, I have learned how to adapt my therapy approach to best meet the needs of each individual client. I believe that you are the expert on your life, and my job is to listen and help guide you toward reaching your potential. I work primarily from a person-centered approach, pulling in elements of cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and solutions focused therapy as appropriate.

Why choose to work with me?

The connection you feel with your therapist is the most important part of your treatment. If you don’t feel understood, validated, and connected to your therapist you likely won’t get the same results out of treatment. Not every therapist is a good fit for every client, and that is ok!

I approach my clients from a place of curiosity. I want to hear your story, understand what is happening in your life, and work together to problem-solve. I believe that you are capable of healing, growing, and reaching your full-potential with guidance and support.

 My Story

I was born and raised in Sugar Land, Texas, and currently call Houston my home. Growing up, I experienced my own challenges that led me to seek out therapy. I was lucky enough to work with several amazing therapists who had a significant impact on my life. I was inspired by the work they did, and felt called to pursue this career in the hopes that I could help others in the same way. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time outside, playing with my dog and cat, traveling to national parks, and reading.
