    Young Adult Process Group (Ages 18-23)

    The Young Adult Group is designed for young adults ages 18 to 23 who are seeking to foster social connection, reduce feelings of isolation, and work on personal goals in an open, supportive, and interpersonal environment. It provides a safe space to explore and build meaningful relationships with peers, while navigating the challenges of emerging adulthood such as adjusting to independence, career goals, social dynamics, and identity development.

    Individuals struggling with social anxiety, loneliness, or difficulties forming relationships

    Those transitioning from high school to college, work, or independent living

    Young adults facing stressors related to academic, professional, or personal life changes

    Individuals who wish to improve emotional regulation, communication skills, and self-confidence

    Those seeking support in navigating complex social interactions or adjusting to new life stages

    What to Expect:

    Building Connections: The group offers opportunities to practice social skills, share experiences, and receive feedback in a safe, non-judgmental environment.

    Goal Setting: Participants will set personal goals around emotional growth, relationships, and self-improvement, while receiving support from the group and therapist.

    Interpersonal Focus: Through group discussions and activities, participants will gain insight into their interpersonal dynamics and receive real-time feedback from others to better understand their behaviors and communication styles.

    Peer Support: Each participant will have the chance to give and receive support, helping to build empathy, connection, and mutual respect.

    Therapeutic Guidance: Led by a licensed therapist, the group provides a professional framework to work through challenges, process emotions, and practice new coping strategies.

    In this group setting, young adults can expect to be met with understanding, empathy, and encouragement while working on personal development and building connections that can last beyond the group experience.

  • Teen Girls Group

    Teen Girls Therapy Group (Ages 13-17)

    This therapy group is designed for teen girls ages 13 to 17 who want to build stronger social and relationship skills, establish healthy boundaries, improve communication, and boost self-esteem. In a supportive and empowering environment, participants will have the opportunity to connect with peers, share experiences, and work on personal growth, all while developing the tools to navigate the challenges of adolescence.

    Teen girls who may struggle with social anxiety, shyness, or forming connections with peers

    Those experiencing difficulties in friendships, family relationships, or navigating social media dynamics

    Individuals working on establishing and maintaining healthy boundaries in their relationships

    Teen girls looking to improve their self-esteem, body image, or overall sense of self-worth

    Those seeking to enhance their communication skills and express themselves more confidently

    What to Expect:

    Building Social Skills: The group offers a safe space to practice and strengthen social skills, from making new friends to managing conflict and understanding group dynamics.

    Healthy Boundaries: Participants will learn how to set and maintain healthy boundaries in friendships, family relationships, and romantic connections, building the confidence to advocate for their needs.

    Effective Communication: Through role-play and group discussions, participants will gain tools to communicate more effectively, expressing themselves clearly and respectfully while listening to others.

    Self-Esteem and Empowerment: The group focuses on boosting self-esteem by exploring personal strengths, promoting body positivity, and fostering self-acceptance.

    Peer Support: Teen girls will have the chance to give and receive support in a judgment-free space, building empathy and connection through shared experiences and mutual encouragement.

FAQs

  • Groups are $50 per session. Groups offer a great way to receive therapeutic care for a fraction of the cost of individual sessions. If cost is a concern, please reach out as we do have a limited number of sliding scale spots available

  • Each group is unique and will slightly vary in size. Groups range from 3-8 clients. Before starting a group, I will meet individually with each client to ensure everyone is a good fit for the group they are joining

  • Yes! Group therapy can be a great addition to your individual therapy. Groups can give you a safe space to practice skills you are learning with your individual therapist while building connections and receiving support from peers

  • Currently, all groups are being offered virtually. In-person groups are being planned in the Houston Heights area. If you would like to be included on the waitlist for in-person groups please reach out via phone or email!
