What type of therapy should I be looking for?
With so many different types of therapy, it can be overwhelming to determine which is right for you. In our initial session, I will get to know you as a person and assess what your therapeutic needs are. I primarily work from a person-centered approach, meaning I prioritize creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where you guide therapy. Within this safe space, I also utilize concepts from acceptance and commitment therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and solution focused therapy to help clients find skills that work for them. For clients seeking structured trauma treatments, I have also been trained in cognitive processing therapy and trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy.
